Mortgage Modification
Mortgage modification is all the buzz. It seems we hear about a new program every week, Hope 4 Homeowners, Helping Families Save Their Homes Act, and the most recent Homeowner Affordability & Stability Plan. The Homeowner Affordability Act went into effect March 5, 2009.
So what should you do? First and foremost, DO NOT PAY ANYONE TO DO A MORTGAGE MODIFICATION FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did I stress that enough? You have two choices to pursue your mortgage modification. You can either use an approved non-profit organization to assist you, or contact your servicer on your own. Just click this link to find a list of approved counselors.
